Individual therapy provides a safe space to explore one's own thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. The focus is on personal growth and gaining new perspectives to better cope with life's challenges. The therapeutic process is tailored to the individual, supporting a deeper understanding of oneself and fostering lasting change.
Couples therapy offers partners the opportunity to resolve conflicts, improve communication, and build a stronger emotional connection. The focus is on finding joint solutions and understanding patterns that may strain the relationship. It helps create a more harmonious and fulfilling partnership.
Family therapy supports families in resolving tensions or conflicts and fostering healthy communication. It examines dynamics and roles within the family to find ways toward better cohesion. The goal is to strengthen relationships and create a supportive environment for all family members.
Premarital Councelling helps couples consciously prepare for their life together by addressing important topics such as communication, values, and conflict resolution. The goal is to build a strong foundation for marriage and develop a deeper understanding of each other.
Marriage enrichment provides couples with opportunities to deepen their relationship and gain new impulses for a more fulfilling partnership. Through reflection and joint exercises, the emotional connection is strengthened, and the relationship is revitalized.
A relationship assessment allows couples to analyze the current state of their relationship, identifying strengths and challenges. It serves as a starting point for working on specific areas and consciously developing the partnership further.
Drawing a clear distinctions can be challenging as different countries have different regulations and overlapping areas of practice. However, some general distinctions are often recognized:
Counselling Psychologist:
Typically focuses on helping individuals deal with life challenges, transitions, and personal development. They emphasize strengths-based approaches and often work with clients experiencing less severe mental health issues, such as stress, relationship difficulties, or career concerns. Their training may include aspects of psychotherapy but often emphasizes humanistic and client-centered approaches.
Psychotherapist:
This term is broader and refers to professionals trained in various therapeutic approaches, such as systemic family therapy, cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, or other modalities. Psychotherapists may come from diverse professional backgrounds (e.g., psychology, social work, counseling) and primarily focus on healing or relieving emotional distress, supporting individuals in life crises, modifying dysfunctional behaviors and attitudes, and fostering personal growth and health. Their scope can vary widely depending on their specific training and accreditation.
Clinical Psychologist:
Generally has a stronger focus on diagnosing and treating more severe psychological disorders, such as schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, or major depressive disorder. They are often trained in both psychological assessment and evidence-based interventions, including psychotherapy, and may work in clinical settings like hospitals, mental health clinics, or private practice.
My extensive academic training has equipped me to work across all three areas.
The initial consultation serves as an opportunity for mutual introduction and the development of a general concept for the course of therapy. This meeting provides not only a chance to get to know one another but also a space for open dialogue to determine how I can best support you. It is also about deciding together whether collaboration feels suitable and makes sense for both of us.
Additionally, we clarify the framework of the therapy and discuss payment modalities, whether in blocks of sessions or weekly payments. Depending on your needs, we agree on the frequency of our sessions, whether weekly or at larger intervals.
During this session, I take the time to analyze your concerns and your current situation. Based on this information, I design a tailored therapy plan specifically for you.
We will jointly plan the next steps and establish the frequency of our meetings. In subsequent sessions, we will discuss your progress, review the exercises, share weekly inputs, and conduct guided practices together. Follow-up appointments are scheduled collaboratively at the end of each session.
The initial consultation lasts 50 minutes, or 90 minutes if it is for couples therapy.
Yes, the initial consultation is chargeable: €80 (50 minutes) or €150 (90 minutes for couples therapy).
Each subsequent session costs €120 (50 minutes) or €180 (90 minutes for couples therapy).
... as short as possible and as long as necessary. Depending on your individual goals, needs, current situation, and the severity of your issues, the duration of treatment can vary from a single therapy session to long-term therapy over several years. Psychotherapy is an ongoing process that involves continuous development, so regular contact is required.
In contrast, psychological counseling is a short-term intervention, typically involving no more than 10 sessions. The goal is to initiate a desired change in behavior or experience, but without long-term support. Often, a single clarifying conversation can contribute to structuring the situation and outlining the next steps.
The choice is always yours.
The intervals between sessions may be relatively short (weekly) or longer (every 2–3 weeks), as determined by the client. It is often helpful to consider at least 2–3 sessions per month at the beginning to ensure effective progress.
After each session, we will jointly schedule appointments for the following sessions.
Empathic and non-judgmental personal therapy and counseling.
A thorough intake and assessment of your situation.
A detailed analysis of your challenges and struggles.
Application of scientifically validated testing methods.
A personalized therapy plan tailored specifically to your needs.
Interactive exercises to support your progress.
Provision of materials and resources for your personal use.
Recommended links and literature for further learning.
A holistic approach to address your concerns and goals.
Ongoing support until your issue is resolved and you feel confident enough to continue your journey independently.
Therapy sessions are held in a comfortable, confidential, and supportive environment. My priority is to create a safe space where you feel comfortable and supported during the process.
In-Person Sessions
In the protected atmosphere of my practice in Arad, Romania (the practice in Vienna is currently closed), we can work together on your concerns. Here, we have a quiet space that allows for focused, uninterrupted work on your issues. Using proven scientific therapy methods and individualized approaches, we create a framework for change and personal growth.
Therapy Outside the Practice
Therapy can also take place in your familiar environment, such as at home, in a park, or another specific setting—where challenges can be directly experienced and addressed. For sessions outside the practice, I generally recommend a double session. An additional fee for travel costs will apply.
Online Sessions
I also offer online sessions, allowing you to receive flexible and location-independent support. Virtual therapy creates a safe space for your concerns, all from the comfort of your home.
Therapeutic Support Across Borders
In special cases, I also offer the possibility of conducting intensive therapy sessions in-person abroad. For more information, feel free to contact me directly.

Afterward, we’ll set up a 50-minute initial consultation, or 90-minute initial consultation for couples. During this session, we’ll discuss your concerns, and I’ll gain an initial understanding of your goals. We’ll also clarify the framework of our collaboration. Together, we will evaluate the possibility of working together and decide whether we want to pursue the path of change together.
If you are unable to attend a scheduled appointment for any reason, please cancel or reschedule in writing at least 24 hours in advance. If a cancellation is late or missed, the agreed-upon time will be charged.
